Alice Betto is an Italian triathlete who competes at the international level. Currently ranked seventh in her continent and tenth in the world by the International Triathlon Union, it’s no wonder she’s racked up thousands of followers on social media, eagerly waiting to see what she does next. In her career stretching over a decade, Betto’s performed fifty-four starts and has achieved seven podiums.
And Betto has made a statement since her rookie year, where she finished in the top 10 against seasoned triathletes in Budapest during the World Championship, featuring players under the age of twenty-three. The following year, she was crowned a National Elite Champion. This is especially impressive, given she started out as a swimmer and took on running and biking later in life after the encouragement of her husband.
Her advanced abilities would go on to earn her spots on professional teams. For example, in 2010, she was invited to compete in the prestigious French Club Championship Series: Lyonnaise des Faux, where she represented TCG 79 Parthenay, and in 2011 and 2012, she was a part of Dimensione Dello Sport, a professional Italian team.
More recently, Betto came home from the World Triathlon Series in Montreal with fourth place, and from the International Triathlon Union Olympic Qualification Event decorated in silver. Betto is also taking on the unique race formats of the Super League.
