Highly acclaimed French master perfumer Annick Ménardo has created some of the world’s most iconic fragrances. After joining Firmenich in 1991, she created several successful fragrances for globally renowned brands including Dior Hypnotic Poison, Acqua di Giò for Giorgio Armani and Boss for Hugo Boss. Ménardo is considered a leading figure in modern perfumery, and her work is amongst the most highly regarded in the industry. Her fragrances are known for their strong identity and unique signature, and she continues to innovate and create in her latest role as a Master perfumer at global brand Symrise.
Born and raised in France, the leading perfumer developed an interest in science as child before becoming passionate about perfumery. After gaining a degree in chemistry followed by a diploma at prestigious Versailles perfumer academy ISIPCA, she started as a trainee under the guidance of Michel Almairac at Créations Aromatiques. Ménardo quickly developed her exacting, precise but slightly rebellious style, carefully choosing combinations of both memorable and surprising scents. She has since collaborated with numerous iconic brands, perhaps most notably Lolita Lempicka. Ménardo created the brand’s first ever fragrance and later collaborated on the iconic, fresh and natural fragrance L’Eau Jolie. Her innovative work is a testament to her creativity, commitment to perfection and passion for fragrance, and has made her one of the most respected perfumers in world today.
