Asli Enver

Asli Enver, a British-born Turkish Cypriot actress, has left an indelible mark on the landscape of Turkish television and cinema with her versatile performances. Born on May 10, 1984, in London, England, Enver spent her formative years in the vibrant multicultural backdrop of the British capital until the age of 12. Her father, a Turkish Cypriot raised in London, and her mother, whom he met and married there, cultivated Enver’s early years in a melting pot of cultural influences.

Enver’s journey into the spotlight began as a teenager when she clinched victory in a song contest in London. However, it was in Istanbul, at the Mujdat Gezen Art Centre, where her passion for the arts truly flourished. She honed her craft at Pera Fine Arts High School and furthered her education in theatre studies at Haliç University.

Her breakthrough came with a minor role in “Uzay Sitcomu,” followed by memorable performances in “Hayat Bilgisi” and the iconic youth series “Kavak Yelleri,” where she portrayed the lead character “Mine Ergun” over five seasons. Enver’s portrayal of “Ahu Kumral” in “Suskunlar” garnered international acclaim, marking the first Turkish drama to be sold to the USA market for a remake.

Beyond television, Enver has showcased her talent on the silver screen with roles in “Tamam mıyız?” and “Kardeşim Benim,” while continuing to captivate audiences in various TV series like “Kayıp,” “Bana Artık Hicran De,” “Mutlu Ol Yeter,” and “Kış Güneşi.”

Off-screen, Enver found personal happiness with her marriage to businessman Berkin Gökbudak in November 2022. Their joy expanded with the arrival of their daughter, Elay, in July 2023.
