Leo Loren, known professionally as Baga Chipz, was born in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England. Baga Chipz is recognized as a multi-award-winning cabaret artist and activist. Her drag persona is inspired by strong working-class women from 1960s and 1970s British television, particularly from ‘Coronation Street’. Baga Chipz is also a member of the Buffalo Girls drag troupe, alongside Lady Lloyd and Silver Summers, and has been a fixture in the Soho entertainment scene. Her career gained wider recognition following her participation in reality television.

Baga Chipz rose to prominence as a contestant on the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019, where she showcased her distinct personality and performance style, ultimately securing third place after winning three challenges. This initial success led to numerous opportunities, including touring with the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and appearing at the first RuPaul’s DragCon UK in January 2020. She further expanded her television presence by starring in ‘Morning T&T’ on WOW Presents Plus, where she reprised her ‘Snatch Game’ impersonation of Margaret Thatcher. She later co-hosted ‘I Like to Watch UK’ for Netflix, reviewing various programs.

Her career progression includes acting roles in television series such as ‘Ackley Bridge’ in 2022, where she played Rusty Pipez, and ‘Brassic’ in 2021 as Beautiful Lady. She also featured in ‘Prince Andrew: The Musical’ in 2022, playing Margaret Thatcher. Beyond acting, Baga Chipz has released music, including her debut single “When The Sun Goes Down” in 2020 with Saara Aalto, and participated in ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ in 2020. Her return to the Drag Race franchise in ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World’ in 2022 marked another significant milestone, further cementing her status within the international drag community.
