Barbara Corcoran is an American businesswoman, real estate mogul and television personality best known one of the “sharks” (investment experts and business titans) on ABC’s triple Emmy award-winning show Shark Tank. She is also a best-selling author, a regular columnist for the New York Daily News, More Magazine, The Daily Review and Redbook and has appeared on various TV shows including Larry King Live and Dancing with the Stars.
Corcoran started her own real estate company, Corcoran Group, with just $1,000. Utilising her astute sales and marketing skills to grow her business, Corcoran became New York City’s real estate queen, heading up a hugely successful business empire. Corcoran went on to sell her real estate company to NRT LLC for seventy million dollars in 2001.
