Belal Muhammad

Currently ranked as number 10 in the UFC Welterweight rankings, Belal Muhammad is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC.

Muhammad has been training in martial arts since he was in school, continuing throughout his time at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He turned professional in 2012, being named the Titan Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion and winning every one of his first 9 bouts as a professional combat fighter. In 2016 he was snapped up by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Despite losing his first bout with the promotion, he was awarded the Fight of the Night honour for his performance, going on to put in a string of good appearances and becoming well known among fans. Out of 23 professional fights he has only recorded 3 losses, an impressive record in such as fierce sport. Muhammad has a reputation for being a consistent and technical fighter, winning most of his fights via unanimous decision. In 2019 he was awarded his first Performance of the Night for his win over Takashi Sato at UFC 242 but subsequently had two of his bouts cancelled due to Covid-19.
