About

B.J. Britt was born on April 20, 1982, in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. His acting career began in 2003 with a recurring role as Devon Fox in “One Tree Hill”. He subsequently appeared in various television series, including “Veronica Mars”, “CSI: Miami”, “Cold Case”, and “The Vampire Diaries”. Britt also transitioned into film, appearing in projects such as the 2006 film “Peaceful Warrior” and the 2010 parody film “Vampires Suck”. These early roles established his presence in the industry, demonstrating his capacity for diverse character portrayals.

In 2013, Britt joined the main cast of the BET series “Being Mary Jane” as Paul Patterson Jr., a role he maintained until the series concluded in 2019. A significant milestone in his career was his casting as Agent Antoine Triplett in the ABC series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in 2014. Initially planned for a shorter arc, his character was extended through the first half of season two and later returned in season four as a virtual artificial intelligence version. This role brought him wider recognition and allowed him to engage with the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise.

Britt continued to diversify his work, joining the main cast of the second season of “Unreal” in 2016 as Darius Beck, and simultaneously taking on the recurring role of Will Baker in “Pitch” that same year. His career progression highlights a consistent engagement with both episodic television and feature films, portraying a range of characters across different genres and production scales.
