Bobby Moynihan

Bobby Moynihan was born on January 31, 1977, in Eastchester, New York. He pursued his education at the University of Connecticut, graduating from the School of Fine Arts in 1999. Following his graduation, Moynihan gained early experience in performance by touring with a Shakespeare company. He then discovered the Upright Citizens Brigade, where he began honing his comedic skills, initially working as a bartender in exchange for classes.

Moynihan’s career advanced through his involvement with the Derrick Comedy sketch group, appearing in their internet videos and projects, including a supporting role in the feature film “Mystery Team” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009. He also served as a sketch regular on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and contributed as a writer to MTV’s “Human Giant.” His talent for comedy was further showcased in numerous shorts for CollegeHumor, notably the web series “Every Week on Entourage.” A significant milestone in his career came in 2008 when he joined the cast and writing team of NBC’s iconic “Saturday Night Live.”

During his nine seasons on “Saturday Night Live” from 2008 to 2017, Moynihan developed a range of memorable characters and celebrity impressions, solidifying his reputation as a versatile performer. Post-SNL, he transitioned into lead roles, including the CBS sitcom “Me, Myself & I,” and became a prominent voice actor for animated series like Disney’s “DuckTales” as Louie Duck, “We Bare Bears” as Panda, and PBS Kids’ “Nature Cat” as Hal the Dog. He has also lent his voice to animated films such as “Monsters University” (2013) and “The Secret Life of Pets” (2016), demonstrating his broad appeal across different entertainment mediums.
