Britt Lightning is best known for being the lead guitarist for the band Vixen. Lighting performed in Jaded, which was an all-female hard rock based out of Boston from 2004 to 2011. The band released two albums, which also included a track that was produced by the legendary Gary Katz. Lighting joined the New York rock musical Chix6, as the character and guitar player in 2011. She then performed for 18 time Grammy Award winning artist, Alejandro Sanz, in his world-tour, supporting his album La Musica No Se Toca, from 2012 to 2015. Lightning performed at several festivals and various national television program as well as radio specials for Rachel Platten. Lightning performed live on Good Morning America, The Today Show, VH1 and Live with Kelly and Michael, alongside Platten to promote the single titled Fight Song, a single that had reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and on the 2015’s Teen Choice Award. Lightning also performed the song in the 2016’s finale of America’s Got Talent, which took place at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Lightnin replaced Gina Stille as the guitarist in the all-female band, Vixen. Vixen is the only all-female hard rock band from the 1980s that has sold over one million albums, has six number one videos on MTV and entered four songs on Billboard’s Top 100.
