Her early work included performances at “An Evening at La Cage” in Las Vegas in 1997, where she adopted her masculine birth names, Chad Michael, adding an “s” to form Chad Michaels, as required by the show.
Michaels gained significant recognition in 2012 as a contestant on the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she was a runner-up. Her notable performance included impersonating Cher in the Snatch Game, an act widely regarded as one of the best in the challenge’s history. Shortly after, she competed in the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, where she emerged as the winner, securing her place in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
