Award-winning drag artist Chocolate Boxx has been setting the stage alight since her debut in the mid-2010s. Boxx famously snapped up the Miss First Nation 2019. Since then, she has fronted sold-out tours throughout her native Australia. Born Corey March, Boxx followed her dreams to perform all the way from New South Wales to Brisbane. While there, she studied at the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts (ACPA) and majored in dance. Fresh from graduation, she got her first taste of drag and instantly fell in love with the art form. Bringing her own Triple Threat flavour to the stage – Gay, Drag and Indigenous, Boxx knows how to leave a lasting impression on her audience.
Throughout her electric career, Boxx’s hard work has paid off and shows through her numerous accolades that she has swept up over the years. Some of these pivotal awards include Brisbane’s 58th Annual Queens Ball Awards Drag Performer of the Year and the First Nation Leadership and Engagement Award. When she’s not climbing podiums, Boxx performs weekly, and hosts shows throughout the Brisbane area and beyond.
Today, you can find Boxx featuring alongside her pals Anya Bike and Hovanna Crown as part of the dynamic trio, The Jizzney Gals. Together, they present a “night of ooky spooky villains, magic, princesses and just all round nonsense shenanigans!” Boxx knows how to draw in the crowds, delivering all the glam, comedy, and a night like no other. Continuously looking for opportunities to further her art, Boxx never fails to slay!
