Chris Turner has firmly established himself as one of the best up-and-coming British comedy acts, with his sharp one-liners and hysterical freestyle raps. Turner is widely known in the comedy circuit for his cleverly written material and masterful delivery. Turner has performed several sell-out festivals and events, performing nationally and internationally. Turner has been nominated for several awards, he was a BBC New Comedy Award finalist in 2011 and a Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year nominee in 2012, amongst others.
Turner has been inspired by his love of hip hop from a young age, merging together rap and hip hop beats with his wildly creative observations and witty punch lines. Turner is known as a founding member of Racing Minds, a celebrated improvisational comedy group. Turner has been positively received at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, selling out numerous runs at the festival that have been acclaimed by many. In 2014, Turner’s show titled Pretty Fly won him the Amused Moose People’s Choice award.
Racing Minds has enjoyed a great deal of success, their celebrated 50’s inspired radio show, The Wireless Podcast, has been a huge hit and boasts thousands of subscribers. Turner has appeared on various shows, including BBC Radio Two and The Comedy Factory.
