Multi-talented Columbus Short is an actor, dancer and choreographer famous for playing Harrison Wright in the ABC drama series Scandal. As a choreographer he has worked with So You Think You Can Dance star Brian Friedman and choreographed a tour for pop superstar Britney Spears. Short has a long list of movie credits to his name, including The Losers, Armored, Stomp the Yard and Cadillac Records.
Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Short was a born entertainer who put on shows for his family when he was just three years old. By his early teens he relocated to Los Angeles where his mother ran a talent agency, and it was the perfect place for him to pursue his acting and dancing dreams. Short began touring the world with a travelling production of Broadway hit musical Stomp as a senior in high school, and he soon landed work in television commercial campaigns for the likes of Nike, Mountain Dew, Pizza Hut and Denny’s Restaurant.
After several years on the road he concentrated on his primary passion, acting, and began to rack up his impressive tally of film credits with the likes of You Got Served, Save the Last Dance 2, War of the Worlds and the lead role of DJ in Stomp the Yard – the #1 box office hit which grossed more $7.4 million. Short has also featured in numerous hit television shows including Judging Amy, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, ER and Scandal, portraying Harrison Wright.
