Crowd Lu, a multifaceted talent hailing from Taiwan, has made an indelible mark in the realms of music and acting. Affectionately dubbed “Vitas Lu” for his impressive vocal range showcased in a parody of Vitas’s “Opera No. 2,” Crowd Lu’s journey to stardom is marked by resilience and creativity.
Following a serious car accident during his first year at Tamkang University, where he sustained severe leg injuries, Lu discovered his passion for music while hospitalized. Undeterred by adversity, he honed his skills on the guitar and ventured into musical composition, garnering accolades for his talent.
Lu’s breakout moment came in 2006 when he caught the attention of music producer Zhong Cheng Hu, leading to the release of three singles, including the acclaimed “Good Morning, Beautiful Dawn!” His grassroots approach to music, touring Taiwan extensively and building a devoted fan base, catapulted him to prominence, particularly among university students.
In 2008, Lu released his debut album “100 Ways of Living,” which resonated deeply with audiences, reshaping the Mandopop landscape with its heartfelt sincerity. The album soared to the top of the charts, affirming Lu’s status as a musical sensation.
His subsequent albums, such as “Seven Days” and “Live in Taipei International Convention Center,” further solidified his place in the industry, earning recognition at prestigious award ceremonies like the IFPI Hong Kong Album Sales Awards.
Lu’s versatility extends to acting, highlighted by his poignant rendition of the theme song for the film “Your Name Engraved Herein,” which earned him accolades at Taiwan’s Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards.
