Fogler was born in Brooklyn in 1976. He began to make headway into the acting world at the start of the 2000s with various parts in short films and television shows. He also appeared on Fox’s 30 Seconds to Fame talent show, impersonating Al Pacino. In 2003, he appeared in the music video for I Don’t Wanna Be Me by heavy metal group Type O Negative, impersonating a variety of celebrities from Michael Jackson to Marilyn Monroe. In 2005, he got his major breakthrough when he appeared on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which won him a prestigious Tony Award, something very few actors ever manage, let alone with their debut performance.
