Israeli-born social media star Dana Hasson has enjoyed a meteoric rise to success — and her star is still very much in its ascendancy. Aftr establishing herself as an influencer on Instagram, she launched her TikTok account during summer 2019 and became an instant hit. She currently has over 1.8 million followers on the platform and is fast approaching 88 million likes for her content. She is particularly well-known for her cooking tutorials as well as her beauty and makeup videos and modelling shots. As well as attracting fans, she is attracting some of the world’s leading brands, forming partnerships with the likes of Marc Jacobs Beauty, David Yurman, and Amazon Fashion. She has also starred in an advertising campaign for Olay.
With such huge success, it’s not surprising that Hasson has made social media her full-time job. She has two popular Instagram accounts, her personal one (which has over 110,000 followers) and a more recent account for her cooking tutorial endeavours, @shouldlooklikethis, which includes pictures and short videos on how to make a range of beautifully crafted sweet treats. She also has a dedicated website and has been featured on the likes of the Insider website, as people in the industry look to find out more about her and what has helped her to achieve so much success in such a short period of time.
Still only in her early twenties, Hasson is one of a new generation of social media entrepreneurs whose understanding of the technology allows them to build a global brand from their phone.
