Dayana Yastremska

Dayana Yastremska is a professional tennis player and musician from Ukraine, known for her aggressive baseline play and multiple WTA Tour titles. After reaching the singles final of Junior Wimbledon in 2016, achieving a career-high junior ranking of world No. 6, and appearing in the doubles final of the 2016 Australian Open, Dayana Yastremska quickly made her mark on the professional circuit. She secured her first ITF title in Campinas, Brazil, in March 2016.

These victories propelled her ranking from No. 58 to a year-end No. 22. In the same year, she achieved top-25 status, reached the fourth round at Wimbledon—her best Grand Slam result at the time—and recorded her first career top-10 victory against Karolína Plíšková at the Wuhan Open.

Maintaining her form, Yastremska reached the final of the Premier-level Adelaide International at the beginning of 2020. She faced a provisional doping suspension in early 2021, but the International Tennis Federation (ITF) subsequently ruled she bore no fault for the positive test, lifting the suspension in June 2021. Upon her return, she diligently worked to re-establish her ranking, reaching the final of the WTA Lyon Open and re-entering the top 100 in 2022. In 2023, Yastremska won her first WTA 125 Challenger title at the Poland Open, further solidifying her comeback.

Yastremska continued to demonstrate her competitive prowess by representing Ukraine at the Olympic Games in 2024 and reaching the finals of both the Linz Open and the Nottingham Open in 2025, underscoring her consistent presence at the sport’s highest levels.
