Doctor Mike

Doctor Mike, also known as Mikhail Varshavski, is a board-certified family medicine physician who leverages digital platforms to promote health literacy and combat misinformation, reaching millions globally. After gaining significant public attention in 2015 when BuzzFeed published an article highlighting his burgeoning online presence and People magazine subsequently named him ‘the Sexiest Doctor Alive’ in its annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, Dr. Mike, a board-certified family medicine physician, leveraged his platform to promote health literacy. He had completed an accelerated seven-year program at the New York Institute of Technology, earning a bachelor’s degree in life sciences and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, before commencing his residency at Atlantic Health System’s Overlook Medical Center’s Family Medicine program in 2014.

Following the completion of his medical residency in 2017, he joined Chatham Family Medicine, a family practice within Atlantic Health System, in Chatham, New Jersey, in 2018. Throughout his career, he has consistently used his platform for philanthropic and educational endeavors, establishing the Limitless Tomorrow foundation to provide scholarships and actively participating in fundraising for causes such as Save a Child’s Heart and GlobalGiving for Ukrainian relief efforts. During the crucial period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Dr. Mike adapted his YouTube content to address public concerns and misinformation about the virus, notably interviewing leading figures such as Dr.

Looking ahead to 2025, he is slated to deliver the keynote address at PatientPoint’s annual Upfront conference, further solidifying his position as a leading voice in public health education and digital engagement.
