Doug Liman is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter known for his work in the action-thriller genre. Born on July 24, 1965, in New York City, Liman is the son of two prominent lawyers and was educated at the prestigious Harvard University where he studied international relations.
Liman began his career in the film industry as an independent filmmaker, producing and directing his first feature film, “Getting In,” in 1994 while he was still in his 20s. His subsequent films, “Swingers” (1996) and “Go” (1999), earned critical acclaim and helped establish him as a promising young director.
