Dr. Dana Brems, DPM, is a dedicated foot and ankle surgeon at The Foot and Ankle Sports Institute, serving patients in North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Agoura Hills, and Los Angeles, California. A native of Southern California, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science from Whittier College before pursuing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. Following her rigorous four-year podiatric medical program, Dr. Brems was selected for a prestigious three-year surgical residency at MemorialCare Long Beach. This experience allowed her to gain extensive training in both elective and trauma surgery at a Level 2 trauma center, where she encountered a diverse array of foot and ankle pathologies. Her additional training at the nearby Veterans Affairs hospital further specialized her skills in limb preservation and wound care, particularly for patients with diabetes.
