Dr. David Martin founded M?CAM Inc. in 1998, establishing an international leader in intellectual property-based financial risk management. Under his leadership, M?CAM specializes in auditing patent quality, commercial validity assessment, and providing actuarial risk management systems.
In 1999, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia appointed Dr. Martin to the Joint Commission on Technology and Science, where he supported the General Assembly and Virginias Center for Innovative Technology. Expanding his entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Martin founded multiple for-profit and non-profit entities.
He served as the founding CEO of Mosaic Technologies Inc., a company responsible for developing and commercializing advanced computational linguistics, dynamic data compression and encryption, electrical field transmission, medical diagnostics, and stealth/anechoic technology. He also became a founding member of Japans Institute for Interface Science & Technology (IIST) and established the Charlottesville Venture Group, serving as its Executive Director. Dr. Martins board memberships include the Research Institute for Small and Emerging Business (Washington D.C.), the Academy for Augmenting Grassroots Technological Innovations (India), the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce (Virginia), and the Charlottesville Industrial Development Agency (Virginia).

Among these is the CNBC IQ100, widely reported as a leading economic indicator, reflecting his impact on global financial markets and investment strategies.
