Elaine Hendrix is an actress from the United States. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, the 1995 Get Smart series, the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap, Dynasty, and Inspector Gadget 2 are among her credits. Hendrix won a model search in her final year of high school and went on to work for the Gary Harrison Dance Company as a professional dancer. She soon split her time between working as a professional model and dancer for brands like Nike, Levi’s, Mattel, and Sun Microsystems, as well as for hip-hop musicians like Whodini, Keith Sweat, and MC Hammer.
Hendrix relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1992, and was injured by a car while riding her bike shortly after, thereby terminating her career as a model and dancer. Hendrix was cast in the short-lived 1995 Get Smart series after recovering from her accident. She’s also been on Joan of Arcadia, Friends, Ellen, Charmed, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and had recurring roles in Married… with Children, User Friendly (1995), and Lez Be Friends (1997).
From June 2013 to January 2014, Stage Hendrix played Lisa in the Off-Broadway production It’s Just Sex at the Actors Temple Theatre in Manhattan. In 2016, Hendrix returned to the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania, to reprise his role as Truvy in Steel Magnolias. The performance became the highest-grossing show in the Bucks County Playhouse’s history on June 9, 2016. In September 2018, it was revealed that Hendrix would guest star in the Fox series Proven Innocent as Susan Andrews, a recurring character. She was cast as Alexis Carrington Colby in season three of The CW’s Dynasty revival series in October 2019. Hendrix has been an active animal rights activist since 2006, when she also became a vegan.
