Annie Korzen

Annie Korzen, born Anna Drazen on November 8, 1938, in the Bronx, New York, is an American actress, comedian, writer, and social media personality. A graduate of Bard College, Korzen transitioned from her roots in New York to a career in Los Angeles, establishing herself across various entertainment mediums. Her career began in New York Off-Broadway theater as an actress and writer. Throughout her career, she has performed her solo shows on three continents, demonstrating her skills in live performance. She married Danish film producer Benni Korzen, known for “Babette’s Feast,” and they have one child.

Korzen’s acting credits include recurring roles in television and appearances in feature films. She gained recognition for her role as Doris Klompus in “Seinfeld,” appearing in four episodes between 1991 and 1996. Her filmography includes roles in movies such as “Tootsie” (1982), “Stardust Memories,” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” She also co-wrote the screenplay for “Nobody’s Perfect” (1989). Beyond acting, Korzen is a prolific writer, contributing humorous essays to NPR’s Morning Edition, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. She is the author of two books: “Bargain Junkie: Living the Good Life on the Cheap” and “The Book of Annie: Humor Heart and Chutzpah from an Accidental Influencer.”
