Emma Grace Arends is an English actor, voiceover artist, and choreographer. Her biggest role to date has been a star voice role in Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience, voicing the character of Daisy and sharing top billing with the likes of David Mitchell and Jo Brand. She acted in the 2016 indie film Longtails (also known as Ratted Out), a crime thriller about a gang of bank robbers hiding out on the Isle of Man. Arends has also worked as a choreographer, most notably on Cilla, ITV’s biopic miniseries of legendary singer and entertainer Cilla Black.
Arends first studied musical theatre at a young age, attending the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in the heart of London. She then studied at the similarly well-renowned Arts Educational School in Chiswick. She has a wealth of theatre experience, playing at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival (in a play called Excess Baggage) and at the likes of the Liverpool Philharmonic and Liverpool Empire. She co-starred in a production of Romeo and Juliet by the Folsky Theatre, a company that tours rural areas, and has also appeared in productions of Midsummer Night’s Dream and Much Ado About Nothing.
As well as My First Cinema Experience, Arends’ association with Peppa Pig extends to the stage, playing Daisy in immensely popular theatre shows such as Peppa Pig’s Surprise and Peppa Pig’s Big Splash that have toured the UK and Australia. She is also a part of National Online Safety, a curricular part of schools teaching children how to stay safe online.
