Brooklyn born Angelo Maldonado Jr. is a Latino-American actor, comedian, singer and rapper. With an ability to adapt to almost any creative environment on stage or on screen, his multifaceted talents and versatility are hard to ignore. Maldonado has enjoyed principle roles in the likes of Last Call with Carson Daly, MTV’s Revenge Prank and Danny’s House and his music collaborations including working alongside platinum-selling artist Mr. Cheeks.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York City by his Puerto Rican parents, Maldonado first began singing in church and at weddings when he was six years old. As a young man he began to write his own music and started to incorporate hip hop into his original songs. He would also grab any open mic opportunities that he could and soon found himself opening up for acts including The YoungBloodz and Beanie Segal & State property.
Maldonado got his big break in 2014 when he was handpicked from the Carson Daly show audience to rap live with the legendary Wyclef Jean. His appearance on the show lead to him being discovered in the entertainment industry and he was offered a record deal.
Although Maldonado’s ambition of hip hop stardom didn’t quite come to fruition, but he then found a different home on the stage as a stand-up comedian, and has since performed in front of audiences around the world.
