Gabriele Cimini’s path in fencing began with the épée, the weapon he has made his own. Competing right-handed, he came up through the Italian fencing tradition, a discipline in which precision, patience, and timing decide every touch. The sport demands years of technical drilling before an athlete earns a place among the elite, and Cimini built his career on exactly that foundation.
His breakthrough on the international stage arrived with the Italian national team. In 2022, he stood on the top step of the podium as a team European champion, one of the defining results of his career to date. A year earlier, in 2021, he represented Italy at the Olympic Games, reaching the highest level the sport offers and confirming his place among the world’s leading épée fencers.
Today, Cimini remains a key figure in Italian épée, combining individual pursuit with team competition at the sport’s major championships. His trajectory — from the training piste to Olympic competition and a European title — reflects the discipline and consistency that define his fencing.
