Gabrielle Elyse

Gabrielle Elyse, born on November 19, 1996, in Dallas, Texas, developed an early interest in acting. By the age of 10, she was actively pursuing acting classes and local auditions. At 15, she relocated to Los Angeles with her mother to further her career, marking a significant turning point.

Her career began with roles on Disney Channel, appearing in “Liv and Maddie” and “Austin & Ally.” In 2014, Elyse secured a prominent role as Josie in Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn,” a series regular role that brought her initial recognition. She continued her work with Nickelodeon, recurring as Maddy in “The Thundermans” from 2014 to 2016. Aiming to broaden her acting range beyond children’s television, Elyse transitioned to more adult-oriented projects. In 2016, she appeared in TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles,” MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” and ABC’s “The Catch.” In 2017, she took on a lead role as Hayley Chamberlain in the horror-comedy series “Snatchers,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. That same year, she had guest star roles in Hulu’s “Dimension 404” and ABC’s “Black-ish,” and Netflix’s “One Day at a Time” in 2018. Her film credits include “The Money Tree,” “Good After Bad,” and “Champion.” Most recently, in 2023, she appeared as Harper in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Elyse is a SAG-AFTRA member and has received network consideration multiple times, including for the pilot ‘Untitled Nicole Buyer Project.’ She demonstrates a commitment to ongoing development, training at various acting studios such as Zak Barnett Studios, Kaley Hummel Studio, and Craig Archibald Studio. Her education also includes improv training at Upright Citizens Brigade and Groundlings. Beyond acting, Elyse is passionate about music and comedy, and is actively developing her comedy skills. She identifies with her multicultural heritage, which includes Japanese, African-American, Filipino, and Scottish roots, and is dedicated to challenging African American stereotypes and addressing issues of racial inequality.
