Gillian Wilmot

Gillian Wilmot CBE was awarded a CBE in the King’s 2023 New Year Honours List for her distinguished services to business, entrepreneurship, and the prevention of problem gambling. With over 35 years of Board experience, she has cultivated an impactful career holding significant roles as Chair, Mentor, and Advisor across diverse sectors. Wilmot has provided strategic, financial, and operational leadership within Technology/Digital, Media/Entertainment, Logistics, Energy, Sport, Retail, Leisure, and Financial Services, chairing quoted companies, founder-led businesses, private equity entities, and public service organizations. Her early career saw her appointed Director of AVON COSMETICS LIMITED in 1995 and the COSMETIC, TOILETRY & PERFUMERY FOUNDATION in 1997.

Earlier, in the early 2000s, she served as Managing Director of Mail Markets during the initial regulation of Royal Mail. Wilmot’s executive career spans 30 years at prominent companies and brands including Marks & Spencer, Boots, Avon Cosmetics, Littlewoods, and Royal Mail. Her significant international experience extends to operational leadership and investor relations, notably with Zoo Digital, which operates across the USA, EMEA, India, and Southeast Asia. She also worked with Jisp, supported by Norwegian investors, and Xpediator, focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, where she currently serves as Chair.

In 2014, Wilmot founded and became CEO of Board Mentoring Limited, an organization dedicated to supporting CEOs and directors of UK and international companies. Currently, Gillian Wilmot CBE maintains several high-profile Chair positions, including ZOO Digital plc, Xpediator plc, JISP, and Synalogik, underscoring her ongoing influence in dynamic and growth-oriented sectors. She is also an active Boardwave Patron. Her continued dedication to governance and leadership is evident through her roles, consistently driving value and strategic direction for a diverse portfolio of organizations.
