Professional Russian female freestyle wrestler, Inna Trazhukova is both a gold medal winner, a world wrestling champion and 2016 Olympics competitor.
Trazhukova won her first senior wrestling medals during 2011 when at the age of 21, she took home the bronze medal at the European Championships in Dortmund and the silver medal at the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin, at which she participated in the 63kg weight class. Having gone on to compete at the prestigious Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin event throughout her wrestling career, Trazhukova has since won a further two bronze medals and two silver medals, before going on to take home the gold medal during 2016. However, it was in 2013 that Trazhukova won her first gold medal at the European National Cup, having taken home the bronze medal previous year. She later went on to repeat her success and won her second consecutive gold medal at the European National Cup in 2014. Of her other medal wins, Trazhukova won a second bronze medal at the European Championships during 2016 in Riga, as well as two silver medals at the competition, during 2018 in Kaspiysk and more recently during 2020 in Rome. During 2015 Trazhukova also won a silver medal at the World Cup in St.Petersburg.
During 2019 Trazhukova successfully took home the gold medal in the 65kg weight class at the World Championships in Nur-Sultan, not only making her a world wrestling champion but also allowing her to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. This will be her second time competing at the Olympics, following her qualification for Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
