Abdulrashid Sadulaev is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and six-time World Champion in freestyle wrestling, renowned for his dominance across multiple weight categories. After securing his first world title at the cadet level at 76kg in 2012, Abdulrashid Sadulaev swiftly established himself as a dominant force in freestyle wrestling. He quickly followed with another Cadet World Championship at 85kg in 2013, before claiming his inaugural senior world title at 86kg in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 2014. That same year, Sadulaev earned the Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin title, became the Russian National Freestyle Wrestling Champion, and secured the European Champion title.
He also added a Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin title in 2018 at 92kg, demonstrating his versatility across weight classes. Maintaining his commanding presence, Sadulaev collected multiple accolades in the 97kg category, winning European Champion, European Games Champion, and his fourth senior World Champion titles, all in 2019. His consistent success persisted into 2020 with another European Champion, Russian National Freestyle Wrestling Champion, and Individual World Cup Champion titles. These achievements culminated in his second Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games, again in the 97kg division.
With an unparalleled record of only four international losses at the senior level throughout his career, Sadulaev exemplifies consistent excellence. Beyond the mat, he is also a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Dagestan State University.
