The brilliantly irreverent and colourful Iris Apfel is a legendary fashion icon, interior designer and American businesswoman who continues to be hugely visible and influential across the worlds of fashion, art and design.
Consulting and lecturing at universities around the world, Apfel is a mine of information when it comes to fashion and style: as such, she has been listed as one of the fifty Best Dressed Over 50s by The Guardian newspaper, taking part in restoration projects at the White House for no fewer than nine presidents, including Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
Starting in her youth, Apfel worked for Women’s Wear Daily and interior designer Elinor Johnson while also being an assistant to illustrator Robert Goodman.
