Isabella Wranå is an incredibly talented Swedish curler and national icon who was inducted into the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame in 2018. Despite her relative youth, Wranå has already achieved so much in the sport, including golds at the 2014 European Mixed Curling Championship, the 2017 World Junior Curling Championship and the 2019 Winter Universiade. She has competed in the Swedish Women’s Championship five times, winning gold medals in both 2018 and 2022.
Wranå is known for her natural leadership qualities, hence why she skipped the Swedish junior women’s team, with whom she won the championship. When she aged out of juniors, Wranå won her first World Curling Tour event at the 2018 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic. Since then, she has consistently dominated in the sport, winning the 2018 and 2019 Paf Masters Tour events and the 2019 Royal LePage Women’s Fall Classic.
A fantastic ambassador for the sport with amble experience in Grand Slam events, World Curling Tour events and international tournaments, Wranå has well and truly established herself as one of the best curlers of her generation. In the 2022/23 season she made it to the semi-finals of both the Tour Challenge and the Canadian open, and she shows no signs of slowing down. She will undoubtedly continue to amaze fans of the sport over the coming years.
