Famously known actor and writer, Ivan Aristeguieta, is also an actor and comedian. Aristeguieta moved from Venezuela to Adelaide in 2012 and immediately began performing what he loves most, comedy. Aristeguieta grew in fame so quickly that only six months after settling in Adelaide, he received his first comedy award and was chosen to perform in Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Zone and Roadshow. In 2014, Aristeguieta was able to sell out his first Melbourne season. Fellow UK pre-eminent comedy guide had publicly suggested that Aristeguieta should be offered citizenship in Australia as he is the one who contributes so much to the Australian comedy scene. Following his success, Aristeguieta continued to tour for three years in a row with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, and the Sydney International Comedy Festival Showcase Tour. His success peaked in 2015, when he grabbed major league attention in the Just for Laughs Gala at the Sydney Opera House. His performance took the whole country’s attention, and not just in that Gala, he did the same thing in 2016’s OXFam Gala too. Aristeguieta appeared in 2017s Lost in Pronounciation, 2016s Next Gen, and in 2019s Saturday Night Rove. His breathtaking performances as a comedian, brought Aristeguieta the award of Sydney’s Best Newcomer. Currently Aristeguieta continues to live in Australia and remains one of the most comedians throughout the country.
