Jake Garcia, a dynamic quarterback for the East Carolina Pirates, brings a wealth of experience and promise to the gridiron. Hailing from Whittier, California, Garcia’s football journey began in high school where he earned a reputation as one of the top prospects in the nation. Rated as a consensus four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals, he was distinguished as the No. 2 pocket passer and the No. 18 overall player in his class. His high school career was nothing short of stellar, with nearly 6,000 passing yards and over 50 touchdowns, leading to a selection for the prestigious Under Armour All-America Game.

Garcia’s college career commenced at the University of Miami, where he saw action in his true-freshman season before an unfortunate injury cut it short. In 2022, as a redshirt freshman, he showcased his talent by completing 68 of 115 passes for 803 yards and five touchdowns. He earned his first collegiate start in a notable victory against Virginia. His resilience and skill on the field earned him recognition and laid the groundwork for his future success.

In 2023, Garcia transferred to East Carolina University, where he continued to demonstrate his prowess on the field. Despite not making an appearance for Mizzou in his sophomore year, his achievements were recognized with a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, highlighting his dedication both on and off the field.
