Aaron Robinson was born on November 10, 1997, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He attended Deerfield Beach High School, where he finished his senior season with 41 tackles, four interceptions, and four pass break-ups. His performance earned him first-team All-Class 8A honors and he was rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN. Initially, Robinson committed to play college football at Florida, but he later changed his commitment to Alabama shortly before National Signing Day. He began his collegiate career at Alabama, playing in 13 games as a reserve cornerback and on special teams during his freshman year.
Robinson later transferred to the University of Central Florida (UCF). He sat out his first year at UCF due to NCAA transfer rules. In his redshirt sophomore season, he sustained an injury on the opening kickoff of his first game with the team and missed several weeks. Despite this setback, he became a significant player for the Knights. As a redshirt junior, Robinson recorded 54 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, 10 pass breakups, and one forced fumble, earning second-team All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) honors. He received second-team All-AAC recognition again in his redshirt senior year.
In the 2021 NFL Draft, Robinson was selected by the New York Giants in the third round as the 71st overall pick. He signed a four-year rookie contract on May 27, 2021. During his time with the Giants, he was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list at the start of the 2021 season due to injury, but was activated on November 1, 2021. In September 2022, he underwent an appendectomy, causing him to miss games. Later, on October 4, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He was again placed on the reserve/PUP list at the beginning of the 2023 season for recovery. Robinson was waived by the Giants on July 31, 2024, following a failed physical.
