With dynamic storytelling abilities and powerful vocals, larger-than-life country singer Jake Hoot was the deserved winner of season 17 of NBC’s reality TV talent show, The Voice. His chart-topping abilities soon landed him with a record six songs in the Top 10 of the iTunes Country Singles Chart, as well as a No.1 song on the overall iTunes Singles Chart. He has amassed over 3 million Apple Music and Spotify streams, nearly 70K downloads, and celebrates his second Grand Ole Opry performance. During his stint on The Voice, he created a charitable merchandise line and was able to donate more than $15,000 to local organisations in his hometown of Cookeville.
Born in Texas as the 2nd of nine siblings to Baptist Missionary parents, Hoot led a nomadic childhood having lived in Oklahoma, Haiti, as well as an 11-year stint in the Dominican Republic. Fluent in Spanish, Hoot credits his diverse musical influence to his time on the island as it was where he first learned to play guitar and began to sing. Upon returning to the United States, he was first homeschooled and then went to Tennessee Tech University in 2009. After graduating with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2013, he started work at a local media production company, while pursuing his music career by performing at local gigs. Then, in 2019, he entered the 17th season of The Voice…
Hoot regularly connects with his legions of dedicated fans and followers through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. He also has his own YouTube channel, Jake Hoot Music, as well as an official website, jakehoot.com.
