Andrew Jackson Young Jr. is a distinguished American politician, diplomat, and civil rights activist whose career has significantly shaped the landscape of American politics and social justice. He began his professional journey as a pastor, where he became an early leader in the civil rights movement, serving as the executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).
