Along with Bobby and his mother, Jamie owns two restaurants in Savannah, Georgia.
Deen grew up with his brother in the towns of Albany and Savannah in Georgia, USA, and like many Southerners food and cooking were always a big part of the family’s life. When his mother Paula Deen began a sandwich delivery business in the late 1980s, Deen and his brother took charge of deliveries. They then helped out as the business grew into the successful The Lady restaurant, and the trio opened The Lady & Sons Restaurant to huge success in 1996. Deen hasn’t looked back since, creating popular Food Network show Road Tasted with Bobby, chronicling the brothers’ exploration of food across the USA. The brothers have also launched their own speciality barbecue sauces and a line of spices.
