Jason Warrior

Jason Warrior began his musical journey at a young age in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up on the city’s south side, he found support from his family and developed a passion for music. At 11, he started his career in the music industry with the Grammy-nominated gospel group The Soul Children of Chicago. During this time, he met his early mentor, Dr. Walt Whitman, an experience that confirmed his desire to pursue a career on stage. This early foundation in gospel music and professional performance helped shape his artistic path and stage presence, instilling in him the discipline and stage experience necessary for future endeavors.

Warrior continued to pursue his musical education and development, attending Northern Illinois University. There, he was accepted into the School of Theater and Dance, where he further honed his craft. During his time at university, he also established his first production company, demonstrating an early commitment to both the artistic and business aspects of his career. These years were marked by significant personal and professional growth, as he navigated the challenges of his background through dedicated hard work and a commitment to his artistic vision. His performances during this period laid the groundwork for his eventual national television appearances.

His career gained national prominence through appearances on several prominent television music competitions. In 2016, he competed on Season 11 of NBC’s The Voice, where he was notable for being the only contestant that season to have been on three different teams, working with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys. Although his journey on The Voice concluded during the Live Playoffs, his rendition of Adele’s “Hello” during the Battle Rounds was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the show’s top moments. Following this, in 2018, Warrior appeared on Fox’s The Four: Battle for Stardom, working with figures such as Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, and Meghan Trainor. While he did not win the competition, his participation allowed him to continue developing his artistry and gain further exposure. In 2021, he also appeared on American Idol (season 19), performing “Believer” by Imagine Dragons during the Showstopper round.
