Jeffrey Alexander Leach, born in London, England, developed an early interest in performance, commencing his acting path at the age of four. He pursued this interest academically, earning a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies from the University of Warwick. Leach’s early career involved roles in various British television programs. He was a presenter for BBC Switch’s ‘The Surgery’ on BBC Two and ‘Scene Stealers,’ and hosted ‘T in the Park Festival’ for BBC Three. He also presented ‘Big Brother’s Big Mouth’ on E4.
From 2009 to 2012, Leach served as the face of Virgin Media’s Music on Demand channel, where he provided comedic commentary and interviewed artists such as Lady Gaga and Kelly Rowland at V Festival. During this period, he also hosted two series of ‘What Did I Do Last Night?’ for Current TV, an introspective look at individuals’ nightlife experiences. He also presented ‘The National Lottery Draws’ for BBC One. His documentary work extended to ‘Male Hookers Uncovered’ for Current TV and ‘Confessions of a Sex Addict’ for BBC Three.
Leach’s comedic career began in February 2010 on the UK stand-up circuit, including performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He was a finalist in the London New Comedian Award 2010 and Laughing Horse New Act 2011, and a semi-finalist in the Leicester Square New Comedian 2011. His acting credits include playing Dean in the film ‘The Smoke’ and Ronnie in ‘London Town.’ He also had a role as Simon in Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ in 2014. Leach is recognized for his voice work as Simon “Ghost” Riley in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ (2019), Achilles in ‘SMITE’, and Peeves in ‘Harry Potter Magic Awakened’, alongside roles in the Total War Warhammer and Warhammer 40k franchises. In 2023, he released his special, “Jeff Leach presents A Comedy Spectacular.”
