English actor Jeffrey Holland is a well known and loved British TV and sitcom star. He had many high profile roles in things such Hi-de-Hi where he played a camp comic at a Maplin’s holiday resort. He has also been a regular on BBC Radio comedy Week Ending/Now into his seventies and still going strong, Jeffrey has been active since the 60s and is married with two children. Holland was born in Walsall in Staffordshire and joined an amateur theatre company as a youth. He also worked at a wine merchant’s company and then had an office job at a manufacturers before going on to train at Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art and becoming a professional actor. Some big roles follows in the form of parts in an episode of Dixon of Dock Green, then later Are You Being Served plus a number of episodes of Crossroads. He also had a part as a soldier in an episode of Dad’s Army and It Ain’t Half Hot Mum but it was Hi-de-Hi that really elevated his status. More recently Jeffrey has had a part in Coronation Street on ITV and has also debut in his own one man play ….And this is my friend Mr Laurel, based on the life of Stan Laurel. As such he is very much a star of UK TV screens who is available for a wide range of roles and appearances in any different setting.
