Inspiring and groundbreaking businesswoman Jen Rubio is a leading voice in the industry. She is the co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of the iconic luggage brand, Away. Alongside this, Rubio is the global director of innovation at All Saints and has headed up social media at Warby Parker. Relationship is a the heart of everything she does. From emerging technology and the intersection of commerce to creating “meaningful, integrated experiences between people and brands,” Rubio is behind some of the most prominent concepts the industry has ever seen. Born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey, Rubio grew up travelling the world. Her experiences have shaped her thought processes and have made her into a voice worth listening to.
Recognised for her innovation and impact on social media, Rubio was named on Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Marketing & Advertising list in 2015. Since then, she has spoken at numerous speaking engagements such as TEDx, Google Atmosphere, SXSW, the Inc, 500 Conference, Brand Innovators, and more. What’s more, alongside co-founder Stephanie Korey, Rubio’s company Away has become one of the largest seed financed female startups ever.
When Rubio isn’t in the office, she has taught several social media classes at Miami Ad School and has guest lectured at NYU, Harvard University, Northwestern University and others. She has also served in the inaugural class of Levo League mentors and has appeared at multiple Startup Weekend and Decoded Fashion Hackathons as a judge and mentor.
