Daniel Średziński, known professionally as Jeremy Fragrance, was born on February 5, 1989, in Oldenburg, West Germany, to Polish immigrants. He later changed his surname to Schütz. His early interests included dance, leading him to a part-time job at the Oldenburg State Theater and producing dance tutorials from 2007. Between 2008 and 2010, under the stage name Jeremy Williams, he was part of the band Part Six and later the music project Golden Circle, releasing a solo music piece in 2011 titled “All of Me.” Following his music endeavors, Schütz pursued studies in industrial engineering while also working as a model, laying a diverse foundation for his future career.
In 2014, Schütz shifted his focus to fragrance reviews on YouTube, marking a significant turning point in his career. He developed both German and English-language channels, with the English channel achieving considerable success. One of his early videos garnered over two million views, establishing him as a prominent figure in the fragrance community. In 2018, his video “5 Reasons to Wear Fragrances” received the prestigious FiFi Award for best perfume vlog from The Fragrance Foundation in New York, acknowledging his impact and expertise in the industry. His social media presence expanded, notably on TikTok, where he amassed millions of followers by 2022.
Building on his online success, Jeremy Fragrance launched his own fragrance brand. In 2018, he initiated a Kickstarter campaign to fund his own fragrance, initially targeting 25,000 euros, but ultimately raising nearly 800,000 euros. This allowed him to launch his own perfume collection through an online shop in the same year, moving beyond advertising revenue to establish a direct-to-consumer business model. By 2022, he stated that his primary income derived from his own fragrances, earning tens of thousands of euros per video. His influence also extended to international engagements, including an invitation from Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2021 for a public relations event and maintaining contacts with the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates. He has also made appearances on television and internet shows, further solidifying his public profile.
