Jessica Iskandar

Jessica Iskandar was born on January 29, 1988, in Jakarta, Indonesia. She began her professional journey in modeling, attending the John Casablanca modeling school. Her acting career commenced with her debut in the 2005 film “Dealova,” where she played the role of Kara. This was followed by an appearance in the Malaysian production “Diva” in 2007. Between 2008 and 2012, Iskandar expanded her acting portfolio, featuring in several Indonesian soap operas and television films, including notable roles in “Gadis Pengantar Telur” (2010) and “Cinta Pura-Pura Nyasar” (2010). Her acting career continued with films like “Istri Bo’ongan” (2010) and “Kung Fu Pocong Perawan” (2012).

Beyond acting, Iskandar transitioned into television hosting, co-hosting the show “Dahsyat” on RCTI from March 2011 to 2013. In 2012, she was appointed as Indonesia’s Earth Hour ambassador, promoting environmental awareness. She also ventured into publishing, releasing her first autobiography, “JEDAR: Jessica Iskandar,” in February 2013, followed by “Jedar Power: Love, Life, Lord” in December 2014, which detailed her experiences during her first pregnancy. Her media presence was further amplified with an appearance as a guest judge on “Asia’s Next Top Model” Season 6 in Thailand in September 2018. Additionally, she started co-hosting the talk show “Ngopi Dara” on TransTV with Nia Ramadhani in 2018.

Demonstrating entrepreneurial acumen, Jessica Iskandar established various businesses. She owns a fashion line, a cosmetic brand, a villa rental business named Villa Jedar, and a bakery named Baby El Bakery, after her son. Her diverse career path encompasses acting, television presenting, authorship, and business ownership, marking her as a multidisciplinary public figure in Indonesia.
