Jo Coddington is a motorsports spokesperson, celebrity product endorser, a TV personality, and a self-described “Car Girl.” She is best known for her reality television appearances on shows like “Wrench Wars” and “American Icon: The Hot Rod.” She is a first-class race car driver and technician. She is just as comfortable in front of a camera as she is behind the wheel of any Hot Rod. She is notably always camera-ready and has been referred to as “The Perfect Motorsports Spokesperson” for your event or product. Jo Coddington is considered by many to be the “Queen of Hot Rods” and the “Duchess of the Dragstrip.” She has had a brilliant career.
She, along with her deceased husband Boyd, spent twenty-plus years together designing and innovating the modern hot rod. Many of their iconic creations are not only visually stunning but have a value of over one million dollars today. The pair were also mentors to those in the global Hot Rod community, tutoring soon-to-be legends like Larry Erickson, chief designer of the Mustang and Thunderbird for Ford Motor Co., designer Chip Foose from “Overhaulin’,” as well as the fabricator Jesse James of “Motorcycle Mania.”
Coddington’s creations have received the “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster” award six times at the Grand National Roadster Show. She is the only winner back-to-back winner of “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster.” She was also a two-time winner of the “Daimler-Chrysler Design Excellence” award. The “Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame,” the “SEMA Hall of Fame,” the “Route 66 Hall of Fame,” and the “Nasa Hall of Fame” are among her numerous honors.
