Jonny Fairplay is a widely renowned American reality TV personality, actor, producer, professional wrestler, promoter, art consultant and businessman. He was born in Danville, Virginia. He went to George Washington High School and then moved to Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
In 1998 Fairplay started professional wrestling first in North Carolina then in Oregon. He worked as a promoter and ran a radio show featuring wrestling commentary. He also worked as a personal assistant for “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
Fairplay became well known through reality TV on the series ‘Survivor: Pearl Islands, he was 3rd. He wanted to add a different aspect to the narrative when he was told on the show the lie that his grandma had died. He also was in the 16th season of Survivor: Micronesia. In wrestling he competed in ‘Ring of Honor’, ‘WCWA’, ‘Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’, ‘Dragon Gate USA’, ‘West Coast Wrestling Connection’ and ‘WFX Wrestling’.
He has appeared on many television shows and was on ‘The Celebrity Newlywed Game’, ‘Celebrity Fear Factor’, ‘Camp Reality’ and ‘Celebrity Poker Showdown’.
In 2011 he worked as an actor in ‘Ghost Trek: The Kinsey Report’, in 2013 he was in ‘Ghost Trek: Goomba Body Snatchers Mortuary Lockdown’, in 2017 he was in ‘Toxic Tutu’. He was first married to Michelle Deighton and is now married to Caryn Finkbeiner. He has two daughters, Piper age 12 and Madilyn age 3. He works as a realtor in Virginia and is the host of a weekly podcast about the reality show Survivor.
