Described as “Broadway’s It Boy”, 18-year-old Joshua Colley is making waves in the musical theatre world. This actor and singer landed a dream role after being cast as Gavroche in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables, alternating with Gaten Matarazzo of Stranger Things. Putting in a performance that the Huffington Post described as “grounded and believable”, Colley impressed thousands of theatre-goers throughout 2014 during the one-year run of the iconic musical.
Following up this stellar debut with a string of lauded performances, Colley was seen in the world premiere of A Bronx Tale at the Paper Mill Playhouse, playing the role of Young Calogero, before taking to the stage at the York Theatre for the titular part in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. In his first ever studio recording, Colley sang for the play’s cast album, which was released in late 2016. Ever in demand, the young actor was asked to take a week off the run of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown to perform at the Hollywood Bowl in The Little Mermaid alongside Sara Barailles, John Stamos and Rebel Wilson. Stunning audiences in the role of Flounder, he confirmed his status as one of musical theatre’s rising stars.
Not only a competent stage performer, Colley has also found success as a voice actor, voicing the role of Pig Robinson in Nickelodeon Junior’s television show Peter Rabbit. He’s also built a broad following online, racking up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and tens of thousands of followers on Instagram.
