A former world champion and former number one in the world, Judd Trump MBE plays snooker professionally. With 23 ranking wins, he is presently sixth on the list of all-time winners of ranking events and is widely recognised as one of the sport’s most skilled players. Also, he has four Triple Crown victories.
Trump accomplished the Triple Crown in the 2018–19 season by winning the Masters and the World Championship in addition to two additional ranking events. He also became the first player to earn more than £1 million in prize money in a single season. He set a new record for the most ranking championships in a single season by winning six ranking tournaments in the 2019–20 season. Throughout the course of the 2020–21 season, he added five more ranking championships. He received three straight World Snooker Tour Player of the Year votes from 2019 to 2021, and in 2021 he was inducted into the Snooker Hall of Fame.
In 2022, Trump finished second in the World Championship to Ronnie O’Sullivan for the second time. That same year, he received the MBE. Trump is the third player after O’Sullivan and John Higgins to complete more than 850 century breaks in professional competition. He joined Neil Robertson as the only players in the 2019–20 season to record 100 century breaks in a single season. After Shaun Murphy, he became the second player to record three maximums in a single year in 2022, after making 147s at the Scottish Open, the Champion of Champions, and the Turkish Masters. In 2023, he captured his second Masters championship, becoming the 11th player to accomplish this feat.
