Julie Letai

Julie Letai is an Olympian short track speedskater who has represented the United States in multiple international competitions. After making her debut at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Julie Letai has established herself as a consistent elite short track speedskater for the United States, culminating in a silver medal at the 2024 World Championships. Letai first committed fully to short track speed skating in 2007 with the Bay State Speed Skating Club, and her exceptional talent led her to become a consistent member of the prestigious Short Track National Team, joining in 2019 and maintaining her position through 2024. Her early career also saw significant participation in various World Junior Championships, demonstrating her high-level competitive drive from a young age.

Her versatility and commitment to the sport are further evidenced by her consistent participation in various World Championship events, including the 1000m, 500m, and the challenging 2000m Mixed Relay, showcasing her adaptability across different race formats at the highest level of competition. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, Letai successfully navigated and returned to elite training and competition following two knee surgeries in 2018 and July 2020.
