Brandon Kim is an American short track speed skater known for breaking U.S. records and securing national titles. After earning the prestigious recognition of US Male Junior Developmental Skater of the Year for short track in 2016, Brandon Kim went on to solidify his status as a formidable competitor in speed skating. His career saw rapid development from his early days as a member of the Potomac Speed Skating Club, where his natural explosiveness on the ice allowed him to pick up speed and execute passes with remarkable efficiency.

Kim attributes much of his refined technique to adopting a rigorous ‘Korean style’ training regimen, emphasizing demanding dry-land work including jumps, imitations, and belts. This dedicated approach quickly translated into significant international success, as he secured a bronze medal in the highly competitive 3000-meter relay at the 2017 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships held in Innsbruck, marking him as a rising star.
